In plain words

What is time and attendance?

Time and attendance is the whole path from a person arriving at work to a number a payroll team can trust: recording the arrival, working out the hours against the plan, handling the exceptions, getting a manager's agreement, and producing the totals.

dayFlow does the whole path in one product, so there is nothing to copy from one system to another. Punches carry proof of presence, timesheets are computed from them, requests and approvals are recorded, and the period closes into frozen files.

What you get

Time and attendance, feature by feature

Proof at the first step

Every clock-in carries a selfie and a position, checked at the moment it happens, so the hours that follow start from something verifiable.

In practice

  • Face and location on each punch
  • Offline capture on the phone
  • Kiosk for shared sites

Hours computed, not typed

Timesheets are always worked out from punches and the schedule: worked, late, early, overtime, absent and on leave. Nobody types hours in, so nobody can type the wrong ones.

In practice

  • Late, early, overtime and absence per day
  • Breaks and holidays handled by policy
  • Employees see the same numbers

Managers see only their people

A manager can look after selected employees or all of them, and sees, approves and decides only for those. Employees can have more than one manager, who are told when their people clock in or out.

In practice

  • Scoped approvals and reports
  • Email, app and push alerts to managers
  • Roles with exactly the rights you choose

A close you can defend

Approve, close the period, export. The record keeps the rules and people as they were, so a question months later has a reliable answer.

In practice

  • Frozen periods
  • Audit log of every action
  • API keys and webhooks for payroll and HR systems

The difference

What changes when you use it

Without dayFlow

With dayFlow

Hours typed in from several sources

Always computed from the punches

One person approves everything for everyone

Managers decide only for their own people

Fixes are verbal

Corrections are requests, with a reason and an audit line

Examples

How teams use it

  • Example 1

A growing company with five sites

Each site manager approves their own team. The owner sees every site in the same reports and closes payroll once.

  • Example 2

    A service company

Technicians clock in from the app on the way to jobs. Managers get an email when a person clocks in late and fix a missed clock-out the same day.

  • Example 3

    A company replacing paper

Attendance sheets are retired. Hours come from punches, and the monthly close takes minutes instead of days of checking.

How it works

Up and running in three steps

  1. 1

Set up locations, working time and people.

  2. 2

Workers clock in; hours are worked out on their own.

  3. 3

Managers review, approve and close the period.

Who it is for

Made for teams like these

  • Companies with hourly staff on site
  • Several locations and several managers
  • Payroll teams that need exact hours
  • Anyone leaving paper or spreadsheets

Part of a whole

How it fits with the rest of dayFlow

Everything on this page is a part you can also read about on its own: the checks at the front, the schedule and policies in the middle, and approvals, reports and the payroll close at the end.

Questions

Things people ask

Is it one product or several?

One. Attendance, scheduling, leave, approvals, reports and payroll close share the same data.

Can each manager see only their team?

Yes. A manager can look after selected employees or all of them, and sees and decides only for those.

Do we get our own address?

Yes: yourcompany.dayflow.ae, and people sign in with their email.

Can we start with one location?

Yes. Start with one location and a few people and add more as you go; each location has its own work area, time zone and rules.

Can it connect to our payroll system?

There is a REST API with API keys and webhooks, and payroll exports in CSV. The payroll sheet gives your payroll team the numbers.

How is data kept apart between companies?

Each company has its own database. People sign in with an email that belongs to one account on the whole platform.

Who can see what?

Rights are set per role, and managers are limited to the employees assigned to them. Every important action is recorded in the audit log.
